Before gastric decompression, gastric insufflation (A, asterisk) and atelectasis with air bronchogram (B, asterisk) could be seen. After gastric decompression and standard lung recruitment manoeuvre, the stomach was deflated (C, asterisk) and atelectatic lung tissue (D, asterisk) was re-aerated.
