Core Tip
Core Tip: There has always been lack of a unified definition, a specialized fracture classification system, and absolutely superior operative approaches and implant internal fixation techniques for quadrilateral plate (QP) fractures, so the most appropriate open reduction and fixation strategies have been controversial and no consensus has been reached yet. In this paper, the above-mentioned contents about QP fractures of the acetabulum were reviewed for better grasping the history, current situation and future development of QP fractures.
