Fatemeh Farshadpour Virologist, PhD Fatemeh Farshadpour is an associate professor at Bushehr University of Medical Sciences, where she teaches medical virology, practical virology, molecular cell biology, microorganism genetics, and eukaryotic and prokaryotic molecular cell biology. In addition to her teaching position, she works as a researcher at Persian Gulf Tropical Medicine Research Center. Her work has centered around the viral infectious diseases. Her research interests include molecular and epidemiological studies of viral hepatitis, recombinant protein and vaccine studies. She has developed a high-density multiepitope DNA construct as a candidate vaccine against Hepatitis E Virus (HEV) and two in-house ELISA kits for detection of IgG antibodies against HEV. The later one got a patent.
