Dr. Wei-hui Liu was born in Oct, 1982. He got his doctoral degree in 2012 from the Fourth military medical university. And then he went to the Third military medical university for post-doctoral training from 2013 to 2015. As a visiting scholar, in 2014, Dr. Liu studied in the Harvard medical school and Massachusetts general hospital. Dr. Liu has been working on liver diseases for 10 years. He and his colleagues found the contribution of liver stem cells in both liver regeneration and liver carcinogenesis. Until now, Dr. Liu has published more than 50 papers concentrating on digestive diseases, especially in the field of stem cells. At present, he is the professor of medical college in University of Electronic Science and Technology of China and a surgeon in the Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital.
