Humans are exposed to microplastic and nanoplastic from takeaway or drink containers. Microplastics (MPs) and nanoplastics (NPs) carry different functional groups, bringing different effects on diabetic symptoms. Animal evidences support the potential risks of diabetes mellitus under the exposure of MPs and NPs.
