Mr. Parente graduate in medicine with honours and awarded PhD after completing research into organ transplantation in Rome, Italy. He trained in General Surgery between Rome (Italy) and Birmingham (UK), focusing his clinical and research interest in hepatobiliary, pancreatic and abdominal transplant surgery. Two-years senior fellowship in multi-organ retrieval, HPB and liver transplant surgery at the Liver Unit, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, UK. Fellow in minimally HPB surgery and living donor liver transplantation at the Asan Medical Center, Seoul, South Korea. American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS) accredited fellow at the University of Alberta Hospital, Edmonton, Canada, under the mentorship of Professor A. M. James Shapiro. Currently, he is Consultant Liver Transplant, Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgeon at King’s College Hospital, London, United Kingdom.
