. I am a Consultant Gastroenterologist/Hepatologist and a Transplant physician in Zagreb, Croatia and an associate professor at School of Medicine, University of Zagreb. I trained in Medicine at the University of Zagreb, where I also obtained my PhD degree in Transplantation medicine for which I received UNESCO Scientific Award “For Women in Science”. I worked as a research fellow at Institute for Liver Studies at King’s College Hospital, London. I am a Fellow of the European Board of Transplant Medicine and a Fellow of the European Board of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. My main clinical and scientific work are in the field of Hepatology and Transplantation medicine. I am currently an investigator/PI on several hepatology/liver transplant-related projects. I have participated in over 20 international clinical trials and scientific projects related to viral hepatitis, NASH and liver transplantation. I was involved in the creation of national consensus documents on viral hepatitis. I have authored more than 60 publications in peer-reviewed journals and presented my work on numerous conferences. I received 2019 Croatian Medical Chamber Award for the scientific contribution in medicine. I teach and mentor graduate and postgraduate students at Medical School, University of Zagreb. I am an active member in several national and international societies (EASL, ILTS, ESOT, WGO). Currently I serve as a member of the European Board of Transplant Medicine (UEMS), in the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the International Liver Transplantation Society and the Eurotransplant HCC Registry working group and as a reviewer for several journals.
