Shu Wang majors in functional neurosurgery as a medical doctor at Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University. He studies the minimal invasive neurosurgical treatments, especially neuromodulation therapies such as deep brain stimulation (DBS) for neurological diseases, including movement disorders, epilepsy, and psychiatric disorders. And investigates electrophysiology, neural circuits, and neuroimmune inflammatory mechanisms behind these diseases and therapies. In the past five years, he has published 16 SCI-indexed articles as the first/corresponding author in Brain, European Psychiatry, Journal of Neurosurgery, ASN Neuro and other international influential Web of Science Core indexed (SCIE) journals. His published articles have been cited 333 times totally, with a H-index of 10 and an i10-index of 10. He serves as a reviewer for international journals such as NeuroImage for 93 times. As a key project member, he participated in several scientific research projects funded by the National Key Research and Development Program of China and the Beijing Natural Science Foundation. He received the WANG ZHONGCHENG (Academician) Outstanding Graduate Scholarship of CCMU, and the Beijing Outstanding Graduates. He also published an essay in The Lancet and was awarded as annual “The Wakley-Wu Lien Teh Prize”.
