The serum levels of interleukin 2 (IL-2) and IL-9 are not yet reported, whereas IL-5 has decreased serum levels and IL-1, IL-3, IL-4, IL-6, IL-7, IL-8, and IL-10 have increased serum levels in the pathogenesis of coronary heart disease.
