Bachelor's degree in Nursing and Obstetrics; a Ph.D. in Sciences (Human Physiology) from the University of São Paulo (USP - 2014), including a portion conducted at the University of California, Berkeley, in the Department of Nutritional Science and Toxicology UC-Berkeley. Currently, I am an adjunct professor at the Federal University of Espírito Santo (Brazil), affiliated with the Nursing Department. Additionally, I am a permanent faculty member of the Master's Program in Nutrition and Health at UFES. In total, I have published 39 articles with a total of 579 citations. Google Scholar's H-index=10. I have experience in Obesity; Adipose Tissue; Adipocytes; Adipokines; Cell Metabolism; Lipolysis; Lipogenesis; Fatty Acids; Insulin Resistance; Glucose Metabolism; Cardiovascular Risk; Metabolic Risk; and Adult Health Nursing. I lead the Research Group called "Laboratory of Cardiovascular and Adipose Tissue Studies". Coordinate the extension project "Comprehensive Nursing Care for Patients Undergoing Bariatric".
