I am experienced for a long time in Genetic Epidemiology of socially important diseases such as respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, reproductive system disorders and other common diseases. Major research focuses on ecological genetic aspects of multifactorial diseases, including type 2 diabetes mellitus, atherosclerosis, ischemic stroke, coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease, essential hypertension, bronchial asthma, pancreatitis and reproductive disorders. The research ranges from studies on genetic epidemiology, biochemical investigations of metabolism and biomarkers, statistical genetics and bioinformatics to clinically oriented studies focused on the development of personalized approaches to diagnosis, management and prevention of multifactorial diseases. This includes investigating gene-gene and gene-environment interactions in the development of multifactorial diseases, functional annotating gene polymorphisms, and modeling the molecular mechanisms underlying these diseases using various bioinformatics approaches.
