Following clinical and research training at the University of Manitoba, The Hospital for Sick Children and Harvard Medical School I began my current position at the Alberta Children's Hospital and the University of Calgary as a clinician-investigator with 50% of my time devoted to translational research. My clinical work is in pediatric cardiology with specialization in heart failure and transplantation. Current research interests include cardiac genetics, the impact of immunosuppression on the microbiome, cell-free DNA as a biomarker in cardiovascular disease and the use of induced pluripotent stem cells to model pediatric cardiomyopathies.
