Prof. Nenad Lakusic, MD, PhD received a medical degree from the University of Zagreb School of Medicine in 1995, Croatia. He specialized in internal medicine (2001. -2005.) and then cardiology (2006. – 2008.) at the University Hospital Centre Zagreb, Croatia. He is a Clinical Cardiologist in Hospital for Medical Rehabilitation Krapinske Toplice, Croatia since 2008. He obtained additional postgraduate education and achieved MSc at the University of  Zagreb School of Medicine in 2004, and PhD degree at the Faculty of Medicine Josip Juraj Stroosmayer University of Osijek in 2007. He is Full Professor of cardiology at the Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health J. J. Strossmayer University of Osijek, Croatia. His clinical field of interest is cardiovascular prevention and rehabilitation, Holter ECG and heart rate variability, echocardiography, coronary artery disease, arterial hypertension and chronic heart failure. Prof. Lakusic currently serves as an editorial board member of few clinically orientated cardiovascular journals and reviewer for many of prestigious international cardiology journals. He authored and co-authored more than 100 scientific publications, including journal articles, conference abstracts and Internal Medicine and Cardiology textbook chapters, having 620 citations and H index 13 (Google Scholar) and 265 citations and H index 9 (Scopus – 2022.).
