Abstract
SCOPE Obesity by high-fat diets (HFDs) is a chronic metabolic disorder that poses a significant threat to human health. Tea polyphenols (TPs) can prevent obesity caused by HFD by modulating gut microbiota. METHODS AND RESULTS To explore the function of TP in mitigating the effects of obesity and inflammation, mice are fed HFDs either with or without TP. TP supplementation effectively attenuates HFD-induced weight gain, liver and adipose tissue accumulation, while also improving liver fat content as well as colon and ileum tissue morphology. TP supplementation leads to a downregulation of lipid accumulation genes and an upregulation of lipid-decomposition genes. Moreover, TP increases Blautia and Faecalibaculum while reducing the Colidextribacter and short-chain fatty acids in HFD-induced mice, significantly activates G protein-coupled receptors, inhibits histone deacetylases, enhances intestinal tight junction expression levels, reduces intestinal permeability, and thereby preserves intestinal barrier integrity. Additionally, TP markedly suppresses the expression of inflammatory cytokines and inhibits the activation of TLR4 signaling pathways. CONCLUSION These findings suggest that TP holds great promise for improving both obesity management and alleviating intestinal inflammation, and provides a clue for understanding the antiobesity effects of TP.

Abstract
Background Lung cancer is the most common global cancer in terms of incidence and mortality. Its main driver is tobacco smoking. The identification of modifiable risk factors isa public health priority. Green tea consumption has been examined in epidemiological studies, with inconsistent findings. Thus, we aimed to apply Mendelian randomization to clarify any causal link between green tea consumption and the risk of lung cancer. Methods We utilized a two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) approach. Genetic variants served as instrumental variables. The goal was to explore a causal link between green tea consumption and different lung cancer types. Green tea consumption data was sourced from the UK Biobank dataset, and the genetic association data for various types of lung cancer were sourced from multiple databases. Our analysis included primary inverse-variance weighted (IVW) analyses and various sensitivity test. Results No significant associations were found between green tea intake and any lung cancer subtypes, including non-small cell lung cancer (adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma) and small cell lung cancer. These findings were consistent when applying multiple Mendelian randomization methods. Conclusion Green tea does not appear to offer protective benefits against lung cancer at a population level. However, lung cancer's complex etiology and green tea's potential health benefitssuggest more research is needed. Further studies should include diverse populations, improved exposure measurements and randomized controlled trials, are warranted.

Abstract
Heated debates have been on-going about tea consumption and the incidence of cancer, especially in head and neck cancer types. This study aimed to review the association between tea consumption habits and nasopharyngeal cancer (NPC). Methods: This review was carried out in accordance with the PRISMA-P protocol. Literature search for journal articles that published studies on the relationship between tea consumption and NPC was performed via databases, such as Elsevier, PubMed, Science Direct, Springer Link, Google, and Google Scholar, for 10 years from 2008 to 2018. Relevant studies were obtained by applying the pre-determined keywords, such as nasopharyngeal cancer, tea consumption and NPC, risk factors of NPC and benefits of tea consumption. Results: A total of 126 articles was retrieved. These articles were subjected to eligibility assessment. Six articles remained after applying the inclusion criteria. Results suggest that habitual tea consumption reduces NPC. Tea consumption significantly reduces NPC with all the studies having a p-value ≤0.05. Meta-analysis showed statistical association between tea consumption and NPC risk with OR=0.865 at 95% CI (0.806-0.929). Conclusion: This study suggests that habitual tea consumption could be associated with prevention of NPC development. Additional studies are needed to further understand the molecular role of bioactive compound and potential health benefit of tea consumption in NPC prevention.

Abstract
Green tea is the most widely consumed beverage besides water and has attained significant attention owing to health benefits against array of maladies, e.g., obesity, diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disorders, and cancer insurgence. The major bioactive molecules are epigallocatechin-3-gallate, epicatechin, epicatechin-3-gallate, epigallocatechin, etc. The anticarcinogenic and antimutagenic activities of green tea were highlighted some years ago. Several cohort studies and controlled randomized trials suggested the inverse association of green tea consumption and cancer prevalence. Cell culture and animal studies depicted the mechanisms of green tea to control cancer insurgence, i.e., induction of apoptosis to control cell growth arrest, altered expression of cell-cycle regulatory proteins, activation of killer caspases, and suppression of nuclear factor kappa-B activation. It acts as carcinoma blocker by modulating the signal transduction pathways involved in cell proliferation, transformation, inflammation, and metastasis. However, results generated from some research interventions conducted in different groups like smokers and nonsmokers, etc. contradicted with aforementioned anticancer perspectives. In this review paper, anticancer perspectives of green tea and its components have been described. Recent findings and literature have been surfed and arguments are presented to clarify the ambiguities regarding anticancer perspectives of green tea and its component especially against colon, skin, lung, prostate, and breast cancer. The heading of discussion and future trends is limelight of the manuscript. The compiled manuscript provides new avenues for researchers to be explored in relation to green tea and its bioactive components.

Abstract
The objective of this study is to develop a cost-effectiveness model comparing drug eluting stents (DES) vs bare metal stent (BMS) in patients suffering of stable coronary artery disease. Using a 2-years time horizon, two simulation models have been developed: BMS first line strategy and DES first line strategy. Direct medical costs were estimated considering ambulatory and hospital costs. The effectiveness endpoint was defined as treatment success, which is the absence of major adverse cardiac events. Probabilistic sensitivity analyses were carried out using 10000 Monte-Carlo simulations. DES appeared slightly more efficacious over 2 years (60% of success) when compared to BMS (58% of success). Total costs over 2 years were estimated at 9303 € for the DES and at 8926 € for bare metal stent. Hence, corresponding mean cost-effectiveness ratios showed slightly lower costs (P < 0.05) per success for the BMS strategy (15520 €/success), as compared to the DES strategy (15588 €/success). Incremental cost-effectiveness ratio is 18850 € for one additional percent of success. The sequential strategy including BMS as the first option appears to be slightly less efficacious but more cost-effective compared to the strategy including DES as first option. Future modelling approaches should confirm these results as further comparative data in stable coronary artery disease and long-term evidence become available.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The generally poor prognosis and poor quality of life for lung cancer patients have highlighted the need for a conceptual model of integrative practice. Although the philosophy of integrative oncology is well described, conceptual models that could guide the implementation and scientific evaluation of integrative practice are lacking. PURPOSE The present paper describes a conceptual model of integrative practice in which the philosophical underpinnings derive mainly from integrative oncology, with important contributions from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and the discipline of nursing. The conceptual model is described in terms of its purpose, values, concepts, dynamic components, scientific evidence, clinical approach, and theoretical underpinnings. The model argues that these components delineate the initial scope and orientation of integrative practice. They serve as the needed context for evaluating and interpreting the effectiveness of clinical interventions in enhancing patient outcomes in lung cancer at various phases of the illness. Furthermore, the development of relevant and effective integrative clinical interventions requires new research methods based on whole-systems research. An initial focus would be the identification of interrelationship patterns among variables that influence clinical interventions and their targeted patient outcomes.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES The aim of this study was to investigate potential statistical relationships between black tea consumption and key health indicators in the world. The research question is: Does tea consumption is correlated with one or more epidemiological indicators? DESIGN Ecological study using a systematic data-mining approach in which the unit of the analysis is a population of one country. SETTING Six variables, black tea consumption data and prevalence data of respiratory diseases, infectious diseases, cancer, cardiovascular diseases and diabetes, have been studied at a global level. PARTICIPANTS Data from 50 participating countries in the World Health Survey were investigated. PRIMARY AND SECONDARY OUTCOMES MEASURES: Level of statistical relationships between variables. RESULTS Principal component analysis established a very high contribution of the black tea consumption parameter on the third axis (81%). The correlation circle confirmed that the 'black tea' vector was negatively correlated with the diabetes vector and was not correlated with any of the other four health indicators. A linear correlation model then confirmed a significant statistical correlation between high black tea consumption and low diabetes prevalence. CONCLUSIONS This innovative study establishes a linear statistical correlation between high black tea consumption and low diabetes prevalence in the world. These results are consistent with biological and physiological studies conducted on the effect of black tea on diabetes and confirm the results of a previous ecological study in Europe. Further epidemiological research and randomised studies are necessary to investigate the causality.
