I received my medical education, Ph.D. and postdoctoral education at the Sapienza University of Rome in Italy. Finished the residency I continued to hone my surgical technique in the field of laparoscopic colorectal surgery and pelvic floor surgery in many of the principal institutions in Italy. During my research fellowship I participated as principal investigator in numerous clinical trials in the field of colorectal surgery, pelvic floor surgery and colorectal cancer. I worked as lecturer of General Surgery in the Medicine & Psychology Faculty of Sapienza University in Rome. I win the scholarship of the Italian Society of Surgery in 2013 and the Fellowship in laparoscopic surgery of the same Society in 2015. In 2016 became a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. From Most recently, I worked as consultant surgeon at Paideia Clinic in Rome from the 2005 and as senior general surgeon at Quisisana Hospital of Rome from 2011. In 2015 I became a senior surgeon and team leader in emergency surgery at Santa Maria Goretti Hospital of Latina (Italy) and the Head of Rome Pelvic Floor Centre. In 2016 I obtain national habilitation as Associate Professor of surgery. My clinical and research interests include the application of new technology in general surgery, functional gastrointestinal diseases, gastric and colorectal cancer, pelvic floor diseases, laparoscopic surgery and coloproctology. In the field of general surgery, I published numerous SCI journal papers, some book chapters and reviewed for many academic journals.
