CV english PDFMarco Frascio born in Genoa-Italy 19-5-55 is Associate Professor of Surgery at the School of Medicine and Surgery of University of Genova since 2003 (Department of Surgery), has carried out studies on physiology and pathophysiology of digestive diseases, software applications on surgical diseases, clinical pharmacology, telemedicine implementation, distance education in surgery, experimental surgery and simulation in surgery education From 1995 to 2001 organised and managed the Cardiologic and Pulmonary Center of Telemedicine of ITMS Telemedicina Italia srl. As Member of the Scientific Board obtained the ISO 9000 certification (the first in Italy in Telemedicine). He cooperated to the outline of Guidelines of Telemedicine launched by the Expert Commission of Telemedicine of the Italian Health Care Ministry. He is member of “Medici in Africa” (non profit organisation) operating in international cooperation and development in the subsaharian countries of Africa. Author of more than 80 research papers on national and international journals, co- author of 11 books, and author of more than 200 national and international congress contributions.
