Dr. Sung-Hsin Kuo (Kuo SH) is currently a Professor of Graduate Institute of Oncology, National Taiwan University College of Medicine (NTUCM). Dr. Kuo is also a Chief at the Division of Radiation Oncology, Department of Oncology, National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH). He received medical resident training and medical oncology fellowship training at NTUH, and also participated in the radiation oncology resident training at NTUH.Dr. Kuo received “Outstanding Research Award” from the NTUCM in 2005, and “Outstanding Research Award” from the Chinese Oncology Society in 2010. He received “Best Poster Awards” from the 37th Annual Meeting of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) in 2012 and the 41th Annual Meeting of the ESMO in 2016. He was an invited speaker in the education session of 2013 American Society of Hematology Annual Meeting. The session was entitled “Helicobacter pylori and MALT: what is new?”.His research interests focus on clinical trial and translational research of oncology, including research fields of lymphoma, gastrointestinal malignancies, breast cancer, and radiation oncology. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers (including J Clin Oncol, Blood, Ann Surg, J Pathol, Ann Surg Oncol, Am J Surg Pathol, Cancer Letter, Eur J Cancer, Int J Radiat Oncol Biol Phys, Radiother Oncol, Eur J Cancer, Cancers, and etc.) in the field of molecular mechanisms and treatment of lymphoma, gastrointestinal malignancies, breast cancer, and radiation oncology. Dr. Kuo is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the ESMO, European Society of Radiation Oncology (ESTRO), and the Particle Therapy Co-Operative Group (PTCOG).
