Dr. Claudio Luchini, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Surgical and Molecular Pathology at Verona University Hospital, Verona, Italy. He has expertise in the field of gstrointestinal - pancreatic pathology, gastroenterology, next-generation sequencing and systematic review with meta-analysis. He has studied in Italy and also in the USA, first as research scholar at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis and then as research fellow  at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. He has published seminal papers in World-leading journals in the field of gastrointestinal pathology and oncology, including Journal of Clinical Oncology, Cancer Cell, Journal of Pathology, Modern Pathology and Annals of Oncology. He is associate editor of Cancer Cell International and of BMC Gastroenterology, and Topic Editor of International Journal of Molecular Science, where he is also Guest Editor for the Special Issue "Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma: Precursors and Variants".
