Dr. Simona-Maria Bataga is Professor at the University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology, GE Palade Targu-Mures. She works in the University since 1991, when she entered as an Assistant Professor and she is professor from 2007. She is senior doctor in internal medicine and gastroenterology.  Since 2002 she is the Chief of the Endoscopy Department from the Regional Emergency Hospital, and from 2008 she is the chief of the  Gastroenterology Clinic from the Emmergency Hospital Targu-Mures. Research activity Her main areas of interest are: cancer (gastric, colon, pancreatic, esophageal, hepatic), IBD, chronic viral hepatitis, liver steatosis,atrophic gastritis. She has also worked in more than 15 international studies,haveing contract as investigator. She has been involved in 7 research project.
