Claudio Casella graduate at the Medical School of the University of Brescia (Italy) in 1987. His post-graduate education continued with a Digestive Surgery and Endoscopy Surgery degree at the University of Brescia (Italy) in 1992. He is Assistant Professor for Scientific Sector MED/18 (General Surgery) at the University of Brescia (Italy) – School of Medicine, from 01.11.2006 to date. He is a general surgeon, oncology and endocrine surgeon specialist in 3rd Division of General Surgery at the Spedali Civili Hospital in Brescia (Italy). His surgical track-rercord (in election, as well as in urgency/emergency) covers all fields of general surgery with traditional and the latest mini-invasive tecniques. With regards to his scientific activity he focused on hormones and cancers, colo-rectal cancers, tumor markers in surgical oncology, endocrine surgery. Partecipated to International Neuronal Monitoring Study Group (Prospective evaluation study for surgical anatomy of RNL in monitored thyroid surgery – SUR study - Prospective evaluation study for identification of false negative causes in electromyographical monitored thyroid surgery – IFAN study), International Study Group “Complications after Gastrectomy for Cancer. A European Perspectuve”, Italian Study REMAD (Registry of Diverticular Disease). He is a Member of the Clinical Robotic Surgery Association. He is Member of the Italian Society of Surgery and of the Italian Society of Endocrine Society. Author of over 100 works, including scientific publications and scientific communications, on national and international journals. He is reviewer for several international scientific journals, and member of Editorial Board of international scientific journals (International Journal of Endocrinology, Journal of Thyroid Disorders and Therapy, Global Scientific Research Journals, ARC Journal of Urology).
