Dr. Liu is a Distinguished Professor in the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical Unviversity, Guangzhou. Having received his MD and Ph.D. degree from Shanghai JiaoTong University in 2011, Dr. Liu has been an Surgeon in the Anorectal Surgery since 2011. He became a lecturer of Sun Yat-sen University in 2011. He was promoted to Professor in the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical Unviversity in 2019. His ongoing research interests are intestinal barrier and intestinal microbiota. He is a reviewer of several scientific journals, and has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles. Dr. Chuang served as the Director of the Anorectal Surgery, the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical Unviversity (2016 to now).
