Abstract
The primary aim of this study was to analyze the evolving trends and key focal points in research on cellular metabolism of colorectal cancer (CRC). Relevant publications on cellular metabolism in CRC were sourced from the Science Citation Index Expanded within the Web of Science Core Collection database. Bibliometric analysis and visualization were conducted using VOSviewer (version 1.6.18) software and CiteSpace 6.1.R6 (64-bit) Basic. A comprehensive compilation of 4722 English-language publications, covering the period from January 1, 1991 to December 31, 2022, was carefully identified and included in the analysis. Among the authors, "Ogino, Shuji" contributed the most publications in this field, while "Giovannucci, E" garnered the highest number of citations. The journal "Cancer Research" ranked first in both publication volume and citations. Institutionally, "Shanghai Jiao Tong University" emerged as the top contributor in terms of published articles, while "Harvard University" led in citation impact. In country-based analysis, the United States held the top position in both publication output and citations, closely followed by China. The increasing recognition of the significance of cellular metabolism in CRC underscores its potential for novel therapeutic approaches aimed at improving CRC management and prognosis.

Abstract
The primary objective of this investigation was to examine the evolving trajectories and pivotal focal points within the domain of research on intestinal barriers with regard to inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Publications germane to the intestinal barrier in the context of IBD were procured from the Science Citation Index Expanded within the Web of Science Core Collection database. Bibliometric scrutiny and visualization were executed employing the R package "bibliometrix" through the R software platform (version: 4.3.0). A comprehensive compilation of 7344 English-language articles spanning from January 1, 2001 to December 31, 2021 was meticulously identified and included in the analysis. Remarkably, China emerged as the preeminent force in the realm of intestinal barrier research in relation to IBD. The significance of the intestinal barrier in the context of IBD has been progressively and comprehensively acknowledged. This recognition has ushered in a fresh therapeutic perspective that offers the promise of enhancing the management of inflammation and prognostication.

Abstract
Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are a large group of diverse hazardous organic compounds that are relatively stable and widely distributed throughout the world's ecosystems due to various anthropogenic activities. They are generally less soluble in water and have a low vapour pressure, but dissolve easily in adipose tissues; and they bioaccumulate into high concentrations in aquatic animals, thereby exerting a variety of hazardous and lethal effects. Despite the plethora of research studies on these pollutants, only few bibliometric reviews on the subject have been documented in the literature. As a result, the present study aimed to assess the research growth on PAHs-related studies across different ecosystems. Science Citation Index-Expanded of Web of Science was explored to obtain the research studies that were conducted between 1991 and 2020, and RStudio was utilized for the data analysis. Annual productivity increased arithmetically over the years, with a 9.2% annual growth rate and a collaboration index of 2.52. Foremost among the trend topics in this field of study include soil, sediments, biodegradation, bioremediation, bioavailability, and source apportionment. China, USA, Spain, France and Germany were the five top-ranked countries in terms of publications and citations over the three decades investigated; however, Korea, Japan, United Kingdom, Germany, and Canada were ranked as the five leading countries in terms of collaboration per published article (MCP ratio). Therefore, efforts to strengthen international collaboration in this field of study especially among the less participating countries and continents are thus encouraged. The findings of this study are expected to provide future direction for the upcoming researchers in identifying the hot spots in this field of study as well as research leaders whom to seek collaboration in their future research plan.

Abstract
Microplastic distribution and pollution as emerging contaminants have become a leading environmental issue globally, owing to their ecological and health implications on biota and humans. Although several bibliometric studies have been reported on microplastics, they are mostly restricted to selected environmental media. As a result, the present study aimed at assessing the literature growth trend of microplastics-related research and their distribution in the environment using a bibliometric approach. The Web of Science Core Collection was explored to retrieve published articles on microplastics from 2006 to 2021, and the data were analysed using the Biblioshiny package of RStudio. This study also highlighted filtration, separation, coagulation, membrane technology, flotation, bionanomaterials, bubble barrier devices, and sedimentation as MP remediation techniques. In the present study, a total of 1118 documents were collected from the literature search; the documents/author and authors/document were 0.308 and 3.25, respectively. A significant growth rate of 65.36% was recorded with notable progress between 2018 and 2021. China, the USA, Germany, the UK, and Italy recorded the highest number of publications within the period under consideration. A collaboration index of 3.32 was also relatively high, with the Netherlands, Malaysia, Iran, France, and Mexico having the highest MCP ratios, respectively. It is anticipated that findings from this study will help the policymakers in addressing issues concerning microplastic pollution assist the researchers in identifying areas to concentrate their studies, and where to seek collaboration in their future research plans. Abstract
Our objective in this review was to determine (1) impactful research articles about CRISPR-edited stem cells, (2) factors that affected CRISPR method performance in stem cell, and (3) research design related to CRISPR-edited stem cells. Screening research papers of related topic was carried out by using the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) database of the Clarivate Analytics Web of Science Core Collection updated. We screened impactful CRISPR/Cas9-edited stem cells based on total citation until 2020. The result showed the title “RNA-guided human genome engineering via Cas9” was the highest citation in stem cell research using the CRISPR method with total citation 4789 from Web of Science Core Collection until 2020. It became the most influenced paper because this was the first research using CRISPR method for modifying human cells. On the other hand, cell type, CRISPR/Cas9 delivery, and gene target affected CRISPR/Cas9 performance in stem cells. The more complex the cell structure, the more difficult for CRISPR/Cas9 to mutate the host cells. This problem could be solved by modifying the CRISPR/Cas9 delivery by liposome and SaCas9 modification. Another way was using ribonucleoprotein (RNP) as a delivery method. Then, double gene target was more difficult to execute than single gene target. Although it is difficult, CRISPR/Cas9 had the capability to target any genome region from promoter until intron. Research design used a combination of dry lab and wet lab. The dry lab is usually used for sequence analysis and gRNA design. The wet lab which consisted of in vitro and in vivo was used for gene characterization. In particular, colony selection, DNA analysis, and sequencing were important parts for in vitro research design, while DNA analysis and sequencing were crucial parts for in vivo research design. We hoped these findings could give researchers, investor, and students a guideline to conduct CRISPR-edited stem cells in the future.

Abstract
Background Keloids remain troublesome for clinicians because of the lack of standard therapy, and the underlying mechanisms are still unclear. Bibliometric analysis could be a powerful tool to comprehensively review research trends, evaluate publication performances and provide future perspectives. There is no bibliometric analysis focusing on keloid research. Methods Keloid related publications were searched in Web of Science Core Collection from the publication year 1990 to 2019. Bibliometric data were provided on document type, annual publication number, most productive journals, publication geography, top potential authors, and highly cited articles. The distribution of single words in article titles was analyzed to evaluate the main research focuses and determine their development trends. Word cluster analysis was further performed to detect emerging trends in keloid research. Results The number of annual articles increased from 24 in 1990 to 63 in 2006 and then increased sharply, reaching 139 in 2019. Dermatologic Surgery published the highest number of articles followed by Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The USA ranked top with six publication indicators and China had a dramatic increase in the annual number of articles since 2012. Recent research hotspots include underlying pathogenetic mechanisms, keloid treatment, and therapeutic effect evaluation. Discussion Keloids remain a research focus. Efforts will be continuously made to understand the underlying mechanism of keloid formation. Despite many treatment modalities, there is no gold standard for keloid treatment, and many efforts are being made in the exploration of new therapies. Moreover, it is foreseeable that objective measurement tools will have a higher status in the assessment of keloids and scars.

Abstract
Diabetes mellitus (DM) is one of the leading causes of mortality in South Africa, which is impelled by people's consumption of unhealthy diets and lifestyles, negligence about an individual's health status, and increased urbanization. DM can be linked to several human diseases and thus, making it an important public health issue in the South African health sector. Therefore, it is necessary to assess the level of research that has been conducted in the country on diabetes, in a quest for solutions against the deadly disease. Hence, the present study aimed to map diabetes-related research in South Africa from 2010 to 2019. Data on the subject was retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) and bibliometrix package in Rstudio statistical software was used to analyze the data while VOSviewer was explored for data visualization networks. Our analysis revealed that the annual growth rate of publication trends was 23.2%. The authors per document were 23.3 with a collaboration index of 23.4. From the 416 articles analyzed, Islam MS (n = 34) was the most prolific author and the top active institution was University of KwaZulu-Natal (n = 165) and the top journal was Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice (n = 20). Findings from this study reveal that the quantity of research on diabetes has significantly increased over the decade, and the outcomes of this scientific progress can guide future research and substantially provide the basic needs for improving management procedures for diabetes in the country.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) represents a series of digestive system abnormalities and parenteral manifestations. Stem cell therapy has been regarded as a promising treatment for IBD. METHODS We searched Web of Science Core Collection for publications of interest from 1991 to 2019. Publication performance was analyzed using several bibliometric parameters, including Statplanet to reveal the geographic distribution of the publications, VOSviewer to identify the research landscape of hot topics, and CiteSpace to show keywords with the strongest citation bursts. RESULTS A total of 1230 publications were identified, of which 674 articles were analyzed further. The United States was the most productive country and Spanish researchers published the highest quality articles. At a journal level, Gastroenterology published the greatest number of articles, while articles from Gut had the highest citation number. Results from the research landscape analysis of hot topics and the top 20 terms with the strongest citation bursts indicated that animal experiments, immunocytes, intestinal epithelial cells, cytokine expression, and clinical efficacy were the main focuses of research. CONCLUSION Stem cell therapy for IBD is currently receiving increasing attention by researchers, with focuses on animal experiments, immunocytes, intestinal epithelial cells, cytokine expression, and clinical efficacy.
