Total costs for patient specific instrumentation (PSI) total knee arthroplasty (TKA) and conventional instrumentation (CI) TKA per paper. This figure present costs without variance. The figure shows the heterogeneity of total cost per patient case for PSI TKA and CI TKA when compared in multiple different studies. When directly compared PSI TKA costs more per patient case in three[38,51,52] out of four[56] studies. PSI: Patient specific instrumentation; TKA: Total knee arthroplasty; CI: Conventional instrumentation; USD: United States Dollars.
