It is believed that hepatocarcinogenesis involve three main stages: initiation, pr-omotion and progression. Herb-al treatment can target multiple biochemical pathways and molecular events involved in different stages of cancer progression and thus offers both chem-opreventive protection for heal-thy or high risk patients and chemotherapeutic potential for cancer patients receiving chemotherapy[23-58].
