In 2016, the World Journal of Clinical Oncology (WJCO) has published the 5th issue which containing 10 articles contributed by scientists worldwide. Among these comprehensive articles are (1) “Oncogenic fingerprint of epidermal growth factor receptor pathway and emerging epidermal growth factor receptor blockade resistance in colorectal cancer”, a Review by Ibrahim Halil Sahin, MD, et al from the Department of Medicine, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai St Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center, United States; (2) “Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor-producing hepatocellular carcinoma with abrupt changes”, a Minireviews by Shuhei Komatsu, MD, et al from Division of Digestive Surgery, Department of Surgery, Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine, Japan; and (3) “Factors associated with cervical cancer screening in a safety net population”, an Original Article by Ian K Komenaka, MD, et al from Maricopa Medical Center, United States, etc. We invite you to peruse all 10 articles in this issue, as they present the latest research progress/findings and provide insightful comments in oncology that will guide basic research and clinical practice in these fields.
