In 2017, the World Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology (WJGO) has published the 12nd issue which containing 5 articles contributed by scientists worldwide. Among these comprehensive articles are (1) “Neoadjuvant therapy for resectable pancreatic cancer”, a Minireviews by Michele Molinari, MD, MSc, Senior Scientist, Surgeon, Associate Professor, et al from Department of Surgery, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, United States; and (2) “Tumor-stroma ratio as prognostic factor for survival in rectal adenocarcinoma: A retrospective cohort study”, an Original Article by Joost M Klaase, MD, PhD, Surgical-Oncologist, et al from Department of Surgery, Medisch Spectrum Twente, The Netherlands, etc. We invite you to peruse all 5 articles in this issue, as they present the latest research progress/findings and provide insightful comments in gastrointestinal oncology that will guide basic research and clinical practice in these fields.
