In 2016, the World Journal of Orthopedics (WJO) has published the 12nd issue which containing 11 articles contributed by scientists worldwide. Among these comprehensive articles are (1) “Evaluation and treatment of internal impingement of the shoulder in overhead athletes”, a Minireviews by Keith T Corpus, MD, et al from the Department of Academic Training, Shoulder and Sports Medicine Service, Hospital for Special Surgery, United States; (2) “Extrinsic visual feedback and additional cognitive/physical demands affect single-limb balance control in individuals with ankle instability”, an Original Article by You-jou Hung, PT, MS, PhD, CSCS, et al from Department of Physical Therapy, Angelo State University, United States; and (3) “Glomus tumors of the fingers: Expression of vascular endothelial growth factor”, a Case Report by Sittisak Honsawek, MD, PhD, et al from Department of Biochemistry and Orthopaedics, Vinai Parkpian Orthopaedic Research Center, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University and King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Thailand, etc. We invite you to peruse all 11 articles in this issue, as they present the latest research progress/findings and provide insightful comments in orthopedics that will guide basic research and clinical practice in these fields.
