In 2016, the World Journal of Gastroenterology (WJG) has published the 38th issue which containing 21 articles including five Reviews, 13 Original Articles, two Case Reports and one Letters To The Editor contributed by scientists worldwide. Among these comprehensive articles are (1) “Antiviral therapy of hepatitis C as curative treatment of indolent B-cell lymphoma”, a Review article by Dr. Carlo Visco, et al from Department of Cell Therapy and Hematology, San Bortolo Hospital, Italy; (2) “Elucidation of the early infection machinery of hepatitis B virus by using bio-nanocapsule”, a Review article by Shun’ichi Kuroda, PhD, Professor, et al from Department of Biomolecular Science and Reaction, The Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research, Osaka University, Japan; and (3) “Racial/ethnic disparities in hepatocellular carcinoma treatment and survival in California, 1988-2012”, an Observational Study article by Moon S Chen Jr, PhD, MPH., Professor, et al from Cancer Control/Cancer Health Disparities, University of California, Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center, United States, etc. We invite you to peruse all 21 articles in this issue, as they present the latest research progress/findings and provide insightful comments in gastroenterology and hepatology that will guide basic research and clinical practice in these fields.
