These intelligent systems provide decision support to humans and they can act ethically, legally and in a privacy preserving way. These systems are built using state of the art approaches in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Information Security. Research Areas More specifically, in all the research areas, my more specific research aim and focus is to investigate and improve the use of data-driven methods in solving the challenges of each of these research areas. I develop and adapt techniques from Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning & Deep Learning and Cybersecurity to solve the challenges and obtain optimal operation of the solutions. I work in the following application domains: health,  energy,  information security, education,  artificial intelligence, other.
