Professor of Veterinary Anatomy, Veterinary earned his PhD in 1990 from the University of Murcia, Spain. He has been visitor professor at the universities of Milan (Italy), Davis (California, USA), Tennessee (USA), London (UK) and Cambridge (UK). Much of its activity has focused on the clinical anatomy  and preclinical evaluation in animal models highlighting important contributions in the form of atlases and books and scientific papers published in prestigious journals, mainly in relation with diagnostic imaging. Trained twelve postgraduate students including the first PhD worldwide on double balloon enteroscopy in dog. He is permanently involved in the development and teaching of plastination techniques as a tool in clinical anatomy. He is the president of the International Society for Plastination.
