Dr Matheus C. Franco is a Brazilian expert in the field of digestive endoscopy. Currently, he is the chief doctor of the Endoscopy Unit, at the Hospital Sírio Libanês Brasília, DF, Brazil. Dr Franco received advanced endoscopic training at the Cancer Institute of São Paulo and also is a former fellow from the advanced endoscopy fellowship program at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA (2016-2017). His research lines are: gastrointestinal cancer, Barrett's esophagus, RFA, endoscopic resection of early GI cancer, EMR/ESD, biliopancreatic cancer, EUS/ERCP, GI bleeding, developing new tools for education of endoscopy, big data in the field of Gastroenterology.
