My name is Yee Kai Tee. I have a Doctor of Philosophy in Healthcare Innovation. I am currently an Associate Professor and Head of Program (HOP) of Doctor of Philosophy (Engineering) at the Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Malaysia. My research interests are in medical and non-medical data/image/video processing with machine learning. My main expertise is in big data analysis to derive useful applications that requires various signal, image and data processing techniques to mine potential trends and useful patterns in the data to improve business decisions and clinical disease management. I have published 36 journals indexed by Web of Science; 33 in tier 1 and 2, and 3 in tier 3 and 4. I am the corresponding author of 15 of the publications as of Jul 2024. I have 45 international conference papers. My current Google citation is 941 and H-index is 15. I have peer reviewed hundreds of papers in journals and conferences, and edited a few special issues in the indexed journals. For the medical image processing research, my work focuses on facilitating the clinical translation of a new magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technique, named as chemical exchange saturation transfer (CEST) imaging. My works have provided the technical capability and necessary analysis to assess the clinical utility of CEST imaging; quantitative pH maps were produced, for the first time, for the hyper-acute stroke patients using CEST MRI. I have more than 15 years of experience working in the MRI area.
