Dr. Tamizh Selvan G has done his Ph.D in Radiation Biology from the Department of Human Genetics, Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (Deemed to be University), Chennai, India, in the year 2015. He started his career as Postdoctoral fellow at the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), France, during 2016-2018. He joined K S Hegde Medical Academy, Nitte (Deemed to be University), Mangalore, Karnataka, as a Research Associate in Dec 2018. He is continuing his service as an Assistant Professor of Grade II in the Institution. He is the recipient of “The SERB International Research Experience (SIRE) fellowship, award SERB, Govt of India, in May 2022 and 'The enhanced Eurotalents Award (FP7 Marie Skłodowska-Curie COFUND Programme, 2014-2018)', France in March 2016. Areas of Interest: Radiation biodosimetry, Radiation biology, Biological response markers of radiation exposure (Chromosome aberrations, micronucleus, translocations, gamma-H2AX assay), Oxidative stress biomarkers, Cytogenetics, DNA damage response and repair.
