Dr. Xiao-Peng Ma is a professor at the Intelligent Medical Engineering Center, Shandong University, Jinan, China. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree from Xidian University, Xi’an, China and the Ph.D. degree from the electrical and computer engineering department of Technical University of Munich (TUM). After completion of his Ph.D. degree, he worked as postdoctoral fellow in the same research group, Chair for Biological Imaging, TUM, for three years. Porf. Ma’s area of active research is development of new biomedical imaging devices, especially optical and optoacoutic technologies combing with image processing methods, for non-invasive visualizing molecular processes in biology tissue. He is also passionate about translating these technologies to advance biological discovery and clinical diagnostics.
