Dr. Aurel Ottlakan specialized in the field of minimally invasive gastrointestinal procedures at the University of Szeged, Department of Surgery. Dr. Ottlakan has performed numerous laparoscopic procedures and regularly participates in the training of medical students and surgical residents alike. He is a member of the Hungarian Surgical Society and the Society of Hungarian Gastroenterology. Among others, Dr. Ottlakan is the board member of the Hungarian Surgical Society- Devision of Young Surgeons (DYS), and deals with the training of Hungarian surgical residents and implementation of reforms into the exsisting system on a daily basis. His experience abroad include Germany, Italy and Austria, where he spent time acquiring and developing skills in minimally invasive surgery and endoscopy.
