Dr. Ghouri is a medical graduate from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Medical College in Bangalore, India. He then moved to United States to pursue his further medical training and education. He completed his residency in internal medicine at University of Texas at Houston followed by fellowship in Gastroenterology at University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas. He was selected by the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation for an IBD elective at Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland Ohio. He is currently working as a academic clinician and is involved in clinical/transational research at University of Missouri School of Medicine. Dr. Ghouri's area of clinical and research interest is inflammatory bowel diseases, gut microbiome and GI malignancies. He has published multiple manuscripts and abstracts on these topics. He has frequently been invited to gives talks and presentations in the field of IBD.
