Dr Nevin Belder is a Research associate scientist at Hacettepe University Medical School. Her major research interests are discovery of new prognostic and diagnostic biomarkers and identifying the central molecular cause of colorectal cancer. Most of her work is in cancer genomics, transcriptomics and bioinformatics with an aim to develop predictors of therapeutic response or prognosis. She worked on various projects which aim to determine novel diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers for cancer, using data obtained from high-throughput genome, methylome and transcriptome analyses during her PhD. Dr. Nevin also gained experince the role of long noncoding RNAs responsible for tamoxifen resistance in ERα-positive breast cancer during her pos-doc position. She continues to work on molecular basis of cancer using high-throughput technologies to identify novel biomarkers.
