Dr. Othman is the Director of Advanced Endoscopy at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX. He is the author of more than 50 publications and book chapters in the filed of advanced endoscopy. His main research area of interest is innovative techniques in Endoscopic Ultrasound and Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection. In addition, he established the Pancreas clinic at Baylor College of Medicine with a focus on multi-displinary approach for management of pancreatic disorders with particular interest in chronic pancreatitis. Dr. Othman is the recipient of many awards including American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE ) Diversity award in 2014. He is a member of ASGE annual program committee which reviews  abstracts submitted for presentation at  ASGE program in Digestive Disease Week (DDW).  He is also a member of Minority and Cultural Affair Committee at the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG).
