Dr. Anastasiou is Gastroenterologist with advanced fellowship training in interventional endoscopy in Harvard Medical School and hepatology training and research in University College London and the London Clinic. Dr. Anastasiou is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Gastroenterology at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Director of Advanced Endoscopy at Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System, USA. Areas of clinical focus include artificial intelligence, early diagnosis and treatment of premalignant conditions and cancers of the pancreas, esophagus, stomach, and colon. Expert in interventional endoscopy including endoscopic ultrasound, ERCP, endoluminal stenting, endomucosal resection, and endoscopic ablative therapies. Currently actively involved in artificial intelligence research projects and an editorial board member of "Artificial intelligence in Gastroenterology".
