Dr. Khalid Raza is currently working as an Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) at the Department of Computer Science, Jamia Millia Islamia (Central University), New Delhi, India. He was on foreign deputation during academic session 2017-2018 and worked as a Visiting Professor (ICCR Chair) at Faculty of Computer & Information Sciences, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. Dr. Raza has over 12 years of teaching and research experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He obtained his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Computer Applications, cleared UGC-NET-JRF conducted by University Grants Commissin (UGC), India and completed his PhD in the area of Soft Computing and Computational Biology from Jamia Millia Islamia in the year 2014. The title of his PhD thesis was "Soft Computing Approach for Modeling Biological Networks". He has contributed over 75 research articles in refereed international journals, conference proceedings and as book chapters. Dr. Raza has authored/edited 4 Books published by reputed publishers like Springer-Nature, Elsevier, and CRC Press. He has received grants for two Govt. funded research projects and working as Principal Investigator. He is recipient of Indian Academy of Sciences Faculty Summer Research Fellowship and worked at IIT Bombay. He is reviewer of several international journals, member of several conference review committees. He is a member of ACM , Life Member of Computer Society of India (CSI) and Soft Computing Research Society , Regular Member of Machine Intelligence Research (MIR) Lab., and Regular Member of Indian Science Congress Association. He has delivered several invited talks in conferences/workshops. He has also worked as "International Contributor" for the book "Java: How to Program" by Deitel and Deitel, International Edition, Pearson.
