Hadi Fanaee-T received his PhD degree in Computer Science, with distinction from University of Porto, Portugal in 2015. Currently, he is an assistant professor at Halmstad University, Sweden. Prior to this position he spent 3 years as a postdoctoral fellow at department of biostatistics, University of Oslo, Norway working on application of AI in omics data analysis. He was a finalist for ERCIM Cor Baayen Young Researcher Award in 2017. In the same year In the same year he won “Top reviewer award” from Publons (Part of Web of Science). He has served as a PC and SPC to more than 40 international conferences and workshops on AI and data science (e.g., AAAI, IJCAI, ECML-PKDD, DSAA, DS, etc.). He has published more than 30 papers, mostly in the area of applied AI in the international venues (e.g., Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery, Machine Learning, Bioinformatics, Information Sciences, Neurocomputing, Knowledge-based Systems).
