Assistant Professor Jurij Janež is a trained abdominal surgeon, with a 6 years experiences in the field of abdominal surgey as a specialist surgeon. He is trained surgeon in the field of emergency abdominal surgery and laparoscopic surgey. He is also trained in conventional and laparoscopic colorectal surgey and gastric surgey. His special field of work is also the laparoscopic placement of peritoneal dialysis catheter in patients, who are candidates for peritoneal dialysis. He is the member of a multidisciplinay team, that manages and treat patients with peritoneal dialysis. Assistant Professor Janež is also a passionate researcher. His research field is mainly the systemic inflammatory response and changes in immune system in patients with colorectal cancer, who undergo a curative resection.
