Dr. Zaafar is a Distinguished associate professor in the faculty of Pharmacy, Modern University for Technology and Information, Cairo, Egypt. Having received her PhD degree from Cairo University in 2019, Dr. Zaafar became a lecturer of Pharmacology and toxicology, Modern University for technology and information in the same year. Her ongoing research interests are clinical endocrinolody (diabetes and liver diseases), drug repurposing in cancer treatment and neurodegenerative diseases in both clinical and experimental aspects. She is a reviewer of several scientific journals, and has published valuable peer-reviewed articles.
