I am currently studying the association of biomarkers with lifestyle habits, insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome using data from annual health evaluation at Tokai University Hospital. For instance, evaluation of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) levels in Japanese women; gender difference for High-density Lipoprotein Cholesterol in Japanese; relationships of HDL2 and HDL3 cholesterol with lifestyle in Japanese; Association of HDL2-cholesterol/HDL3-cholesterol ratio with insulin resistance, high-molecular-weight adiponectin, and components for metabolic syndrome in Japanese; HDL2/HDL3 ratio changes, metabolic syndrome markers, and other factors in a Japanese population; association of HDL cholesterol subclasses with serum uric acid in Japanese men. I am also interested in serum fatty acid levels and insulin resistance. I am particularly interested in triglycerides to HDL cholesterol ratio which I have showed the ratio is associated with metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance, lifestyle habits, and low-density lipoprotein subclasses in healthy Japanese.
