Editorial board member of World Journal of Clinical Cases, Dr. Shingo Tsujinaka is an associate professor at Department of Surgery, Division of Gastroenterological Surgery, Tohoku Medical and Pharmaceutical University (Sendai, Japan). Having received his Medical degree from Jikei University School of Medicine (Tokyo, Japan), he undertook the surgical residency training at Jikei University Hospital (1996-2001). He then completed the research fellowship program at Department of Colorectal Surgery, Cleveland Clinic Florida (FL, USA, 2002-2004). He received his PhD degree through Graduate School of Medicine at Jichi Medical University (Tochigi, Japan, 2006-2010). He became an assistant professor in 2011 and senior lecturer in 2015 at Department of Surgery, Saitama Medical Center, Jichi Medical University (Saitama, Japan). He has been promoted as an associate professor at the current workplace in April, 2022. His research interests involve colorectal surgery, surgical oncology, and abdominal hernia surgery. He has a board certification in Japan Surgical Society, Japanese Society of Gastroenterology, Japanese Society of Gastroenterological Surgery, Japan Society of Coloproctology, and Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopic Society, and Japan Society for Endoscopic Surgery. He has also been an editorial board member of Journal of Japan Society for Endoscopic Surgery and Journal of Japanese Society of Stoma and Continence Rehabilitation.
