Dr. Xu is a Distinguished Professor at China Medical University in Shenyang, China. Having received his Bachelor’s degree from China Medical University in 2001, Dr. Xu undertook his postgraduate training at the Department of Pathology of College of Basic Medical Sciences, China Medical University, receiving his PhD in 2006. He became Professor in the Department of Pathology of the College of Basic Medical Sciences and the First Hospital of China Medical University in 2013 and has held the position since. His ongoing research interests involve the molecular mechanism of invasion and metastasis of lung cancers, and the pathological diagnosis of thoracic tumors and salivary gland tumors. Currently, he is the deputy director of Department of Pathology of the College of Basic Medical Sciences and the First Hospital of China Medical University. He serves as member of the Thoracic Diseases Group of Chinese Society of Pathology and vice-chairman of Liaoning Society of Pathology.
