My name is Abdulqadir J. Nashwan, RN, MSc, PhD (c), and I currently serve as the Assistant Executive Director of Nursing & Midwifery for Research at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) in Doha, Qatar. As a dedicated nurse researcher and academic leader, I focus on advancing nursing and midwifery science through innovative research, particularly at the intersection of clinical practice, artificial intelligence, and public health. My work is distinguished by its translational impact—bridging evidence-based research with policy-making and clinical implementation across diverse healthcare settings. I have authored more than 600 peer-reviewed articles, with a substantial portion as first or corresponding author, and have delivered over 40 presentations at international academic conferences. My Google Scholar profile reflects an h-index of 33 and an i10-index of 140, highlighting the broad influence of my research. I have received multiple awards for scientific excellence and am an active member of esteemed professional organizations, including the BMC Nursing Editorial Board, the Journal of Medicine, Surgery, and Public Health (Elsevier), Health Science Reports (Wiley), and the Frontiers in Oncology and Journal of Nursing Management as a Review Editor. In addition to my authorship, I have conducted more than 500 peer reviews and contributed over 30 editorials across leading journals, reinforcing my commitment to academic integrity and rigorous scholarship. My long-term research goals center around the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in nursing and healthcare, improving chronic disease outcomes, and supporting evidence-based workforce planning, especially through the lens of Qatarization in healthcare. I am currently leading several national-level studies focusing on nursing image, pediatric health perceptions, and virtual reality interventions. I bring a comprehensive skill set to my role, including leadership, mentoring, communication, and strategic problem-solving, with a strong emphasis on active listening and interdisciplinary collaboration to drive innovation and excellence in healthcare research and education.
