Prof. Ram Singh has done his schooling from Sainik School Tilaiya, and Bachelor and Master in Chemistry from Ramjas College, University of Delhi. He has done PhD in Chemistry from Department of Chemistry, University of Delhi, under the supervision of Prof. S.M.S. Chauhan. After PhD, he worked at CEMDE and Department of Chemistry, University of Delhi from 2002 to 2010 under various capacities supported by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Department of Science and Technology (DST), and UGC, Government of India. He was awarded Fast Track Young Scientists project by DST in recognition of his previous work in 2004. He has an experience of teaching at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate level at University of Delhi and Delhi Technological University (DTU), where he is currently working as Professor in the Department of Applied Chemistry. Prof. Singh has published 95 research papers, authored 10 books, 25 book chapters, 31 Modules for ePG Pathshala, and contributed in more than 90 symposia and seminars. He has two patents from his work. He has supervised six PhD students and 15 M Tech/M Sc students. His research interests are at the interface of chemistry, biology and biomaterials. His group has been involved in solving challenging problems related to human health and society giving emphasis on neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson Diseases. His research work has been funded by DST, CSIR, and DRDO. He is on the Editorial Advisory Board of various journals of repute and Life Member of various societies. He is a Fellow of International Science Community Association, India.
