Dr. Nagoba, after graduating in Microbiology from Shivaji University, Kolhapur (1984), completed M. Sc. Medical Microbiology in the faculty of Medicine from Dr. V.M. Medical College, Solapur holding first rank in Shivaji University, Kolhapur (1987) for which he has been awarded Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund Award. He was awarded Ph.D. in Medical Microbiology by Nagpur University, Nagpur (1997). Since 1988, He is working in different capacities starting from Lecturer, Associate Professor and presently working as Professor of Microbiology, Assistant Dean for Research and Development and Coordinator, Dept. of Medical Education at MIMSR Medical College, Latur. He has vast experience in teaching to MBBS, BDS, Engineering, M. Sc. Microbiology and other courses.  He is a recognized P. G guide for M. D. Microbiology of SRTM University, Nanded and Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. He is recognized guide for Ph.D. in Microbiology of Nagpur University, Nagpur and North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, and for Ph.D. in Medical Microbiology of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik and Yenopoya Medical University, Mangalore. He has obtained Proficiency Training in various aspects of medical education. He has developed a newer approach for the treatment of chronic wound infections not responding to conventional therapy and successfully treated a variety of chronic wounds such as Diabetic foot infections, leprosy ulcers, burns infections, non-healing ulcers, post operative wound infections, nosocomial wound infections, etc. This original research is accepted by international authorities and published in various international journals like World J Diabetes, British J Dermatology, Journal of Hospital Infection, Journal of International Society of Burns Injuries, Journal of Medical Microbiology, International Wound Journal, International Journal of Lower Extremity Wounds, Journal of Wound Care, Wounds, Journal of Infection and Public Health, etc. Many of these journals have impact factor of more than 2.0.  This study is the first report of its kind in the world and this new medicine is given free of cost to all needy patients. This medicine has saved many lives and many legs of diabetic and leprosy patients having nonhealing ulcers and proved to be a boon for such patients. He has published 199 research papers, of which 86 papers have been published in prestigious international journals. He has presented more than 40 papers in National and International Conferences and authored/edited 20 books and contributed 14 articles in books. He is a reviewer for more than 25 National and over 100 International Journals. He has organized 72 Workshops (National and State Level) on various aspects of Medical Education. He was President of Maharashtra Chapter of Indian Association of Medical Microbiologists in the year 1999-2000. He is member of editorial board of over ten international journals and over 10 national journals. He has been awarded nine International, two National and 13 State- Level awards for his achievements in academics and Research activities including International Innovation Award by Journal of Wound Care and a prestigious state level “Dr. Sharadini Dahanukar Best Teacher Award” by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik (2004).  He is a member of various scientific bodies at National and International levels and his biography has been included for thrice in the Marquis WHO’s WHO in the world.
