Hyasinta Michel Jaka, PhD in Gastroenterology, Professor at Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences, Tanzania. I am engaged in academic research and teaching within the field of gastroenterology for the past 15 years at Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences and Bugando Medical Centre. My work primarily focuses on Endoscopy, Gastroenterology and Hepatology. I conduct research studies, and supervise my students at all levels from medical students to PhD level. The motivation behind my work stems from a deep commitment to scientific research advancement, medical education and patient management following evidence based management. I believe that through rigorous research and education, I can contribute to meaningful change and enhance knowledge within my gastroenterology community and beyond. I integrate interdisciplinary methods that draw from various fields such as cardiology, infectious diseases, metabolic dysfunction associated steatosis liver diseases, and paediatric diseases, allowing for a more comprehensive understanding of complex issues. Additionally, my commitment to community engagement ensures that my research is not only academically rigorous but also socially relevant. Graduated November 2020 from Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences (CUHAS) in Gastroenterology, demonstrating consistent academic excellence throughout my studies. led a team of five in a research project and systematic review- meta-analysis that resulted in a publication in some peer-reviewed journals. Publishes 65 articles among these, fifteen (15) articles as first author and eight (8) as corresponding author in important academic journals worldwide. I have peer-reviewed manuscripts for various academic journals, including BMC journals. I have authored 1 review focusing on Forty Years of Helicobacter pylori: The African Perspective. In total, I have contributed significantly to academic literature through my role as a peer reviewer experiences not only enhance my understanding but also allow me to contribute meaningfully to ongoing scholarly discussions. I developing long-term plans and operational /annual plan to oversee day-to-day activities efficiently. I have excellent financial management skills and problem solving skills. I like planting flowers every weekend; this activity allows me to express my creativity after a busy week. I also enjoy jogging as it keeps me physically fit. Additionally, I am passionate about reading life stories which enhances my vocabulary.
